Discipleship Groups

DGs at CCF are separated into Men's DGs and Women's DGs. The purpose of DGs is namely to "disciple" (as the name suggests!). In smaller groups, DGs meet weekly to dive into God's word, to keep each other accountable, to pray for each other, and to spur each other onwards toward Christ.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
2 Tim 3:16,17

Women's and men's ministry have specific visions of what we believe God wants to build into each gender in this time.  This year our DGs will focus on 3 main things: spiritual discipline, being independent seekers of the truth, and how to apply our faith to our every day lives.

When you come to knowing God, the initiative lies on His side. If He does not show Himself, nothing you can do will enable you to find Him. and, in fact, He shows much more of Himself to some people than others - not because He has favourites, but because it is impossible for Him to show Himself to a man whose whole mind and character are in the wrong condition. Just as sunlight, though it has no favourites, cannot be reflected in a dusty mirror as clearly as in a clean one. You can put this another way by saying that while in other sciences the instruments you use are things external to yourself (things like microscopes and telescopes), the instrument through which you see God is your whole self. And if a man’s self is not kept clean and bright, his glimpse of God will be blurred - like the Moon seen through a dirty telescope. - C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity, 1952
